Power mirrors

Checking the operation of the folding mechanism

1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ACC".

2. Check the operation of the folding mechanism at various positions of the mirrors (see table "Checking the operation of the mirror folding mechanism").

Initialization

Note: this procedure is carried out with the power window mechanism and motor disconnected; in case the mechanism worked after removal. Also, this procedure may be necessary when replacing glass guides.

1. Disconnect the power window motor.

2. Connect the power window motor and main switch connectors to their respective harness connectors.

3. Turn on the ignition, press the main switch six or more times within 4 seconds or more, and check that the motor armature rotates counterclockwise.

4. Connect the electric motor to the mechanism of a window regulator.

Note: The motor armature must be in the neutral position.

5. Establish the mechanism of a window regulator and glass of a door.

6. Connect the main switch to the wiring harness and turn on the ignition.

7. Move the glass up and down several times in the "MANUAL".

8. Make sure that the power window is working in the mode "AUTO".

9. Check up operation of windows.

Examination

1. Check up conductivity between conclusions of a socket at various provisions of the switch of management of mirrors on doors.




2. Check up conductivity between conclusions of a socket at various positions at various positions of the switch of folding of mirrors.



3. Check the operation of the power mirrors by connecting various terminals of the connector to the positive or negative terminal of the battery and various positions of the mirror control switch on the doors according to the table below.
