Installation
Use a hard plastic or wooden scraper to clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block from the old sealant and clean them with solvent.
Check that the threaded holes for the oil pan bolts in the cylinder block are clean and undamaged.
Check the oil pan flange, especially near the bolt holes, for defects. If necessary, remove any nicks or nicks.
Check the fastening of the oil pick-up tube and the absence of cracks in it. If the oil pickup tube was removed, clean it and install with a new O-ring or gasket. Check the oil pickup strainer for dirt.
Apply a coat of RTV sealant with a diameter of 5 mm to the mating surface of the oil pan.
Note. The oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.
Install the oil pan to the cylinder block and secure with the bolts finger-tight at this point. Consistently in a circle, in several passes, tighten the bolts to a torque of 9 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Wait 1 hour for the sealant to harden before adding engine oil.
