This subsection describes the types of repair of 6-cylinder single-row engines 2F and 3F-E without dismantling from the vehicle. Engines so-called. type "pushrod" (with a "remote" camshaft drive), with a camshaft drive from a pair of gears.
The camshaft controls the valves through a cam-pusher-rod-rocker chain. The engines of the types under consideration were installed on Toyota Land Cruiser cars from 1980 to 1992. (2F was installed in 1980-87, 3F-E in 1987-92). The 3F-E engines have the same cylinder diameter as the 2F engines, but the piston stroke is slightly shorter.
