Opening and closing the hood

1. To open the hood, pull the hood release lever (refer to accompanying illustration). The hood will open upwards with a springy motion.

Note. Before driving, make sure the hood is securely locked. Otherwise, while driving, the hood may accidentally open and an accident may occur.

2. At the front of the vehicle, pull up on the auxiliary latch lever and raise the hood.

3. Before closing the hood, make sure that tools, rags, etc. are not forgotten inside. Then lower the hood and make sure it is securely locked in place. If necessary, press gently down on the front edge to secure it.
