For a description of this procedure, see chapter 2A, but use the tightening torques given in Specifications at the beginning of this chapter.
On V6 engines, two spacers are used to mount the faceplate, one between the crankshaft flange and the faceplate, and the other between the back face of the faceplate and the faceplate mounting bolts. When removing the faceplate, mark the spacers and, when reassembling, reinstall them in their original locations, oriented in the same way as they were during the initial installation.
