21. Install the bearing caps, screw in the bolts and tighten them by hand.
22. Tighten the bearing cap bolts evenly and in the prescribed sequence in several stages to the prescribed torque given in the Specifications at the beginning of this chapter (pic. 7.22).
Pic. 7.22. The sequence of tightening the bolts of the camshaft bearing caps
23. Enter the teeth of the camshaft sprockets into engagement with the timing chain so that the marks made during removal are aligned with the upper alignment marks on the sprockets, and then put the sprockets on the pins on the camshaft hubs, screw in the sprocket mounting bolts and tighten them hand force. At this point, the mark on the crankshaft pulley should be aligned with the mark «0» on the timing chain cover, the TDC marks on the camshaft sprockets must be aligned and parallel to the top edge of the timing chain cover, and the mating marks on the timing chain must be aligned with the upper marks on the sprockets with all slack in the chain on the engine side where is the tensioner (rice. 7.4).
24. Double check that the sprockets are returned to the camshafts from which they were removed, and tighten the sprocket mounting bolts to the prescribed torque specified in the Specifications at the beginning of this chapter.
25. Install the timing chain tensioner as described in p.p. 38 and 39 paragraph 6.
26. The rest of the installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
