Disassembly of the Piston-Connecting Rod Assembly

1. Check the fit of the connection "piston-piston pin", trying to move the piston "back forward" on the piston pin in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the piston pin. If there is noticeable play, replace the entire assembly.



2. Remove piston rings.

• A) special tool (expander or screwdriver) remove both compression rings.

• b) Manually remove the oil scraper elements (scrapers and ring expander).

Note: Arrange the rings in the correct order.

3. Disconnect the connecting rod from the piston.

• A) Using a screwdriver, remove the circlips.

• b) Gradually heat the piston to a temperature of 80-90°C.
• V) Using a plastic-tipped hammer and copper rod, knock out the piston pin and remove the connecting rod.

Note:

• If necessary, tag the piston and connecting rod to ensure correct assembly.
• Do not dismantle the piston and piston pin.
• Lay out the parts of the piston group as a set.
