- A) (3S-FE, 4S-FE, 5E-FE) Connect the following hoses (see above):
- Coolant bypass hoses (1);
- air hose (2);
- (5E-FE) Air hose from air control valve (3).
- b) Install a new gasket on the intake manifold with the tab down as shown in the illustration.
- V) (Type A) Install the throttle body and secure it with 4 screws. Tightening torque: 19 Nm.
Note: bolts of different lengths are used for installation:
- top 40 mm
- lower 55 mm
- (Type B) Install the throttle body and secure it with 2 bolts and 2 nuts. Tightening torque: 20 Nm.
- G) Connect the following hoses to the throttle body (see subsection "Removing the throttle body"):
- vacuum hose (1) (models with a fuel vapor recovery system;
- (Only 3S-FE, 4S-FE) vacuum hoses (2) (for models with exhaust gas recirculation)
- crankcase breather hose (3).
- (Only 3S-GE) Coolant bypass hoses (4).
- (4A-FE, 7A-FE) Air hose.
Note: It is easy to mix up the hoses when connecting, so mark the hoses before removing them.
- d) Connect the throttle position sensor connector and idle speed control valve connector.
2. (Models with automatic transmission) Connect the transmission control cable.
3. Connect the throttle cable to the throttle body.
4. (3S-FE, 3S-GE. 4S-FE, 5E-FE) Connect the air duct and install the air filter cover.
5. Connect the intake air temperature sensor to the air filter cover.
6. (4A-FE, 7A-FE) Connect the air filter hose.
7. Add coolant.
8. Connect (-) wire to the negative battery terminal.
