Pic. 2.115. Installation of a compression gauge
Insert compression tester 09992-00500 into spark plug hole (pic. 2.115).
Fully open the throttle.
Turning the engine crankshaft with a starter, measure the compression.
Normal compression: 1300 kPa.
Minimum allowable compression: 1000 kPa.
The maximum allowable compression difference between cylinders is 100 kPa.
Note. The battery must be fully charged so that the engine speed is at least 250 min–1.
Note. Also check the compression in the remaining cylinders.
Note. Compression measurements should be performed as soon as possible.
If the compression in the cylinder is too low, pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole, then measure the compression again.
Note. If compression increases after filling with oil, it is highly likely that the piston rings and / or cylinder bore are worn or damaged.
Note. If the pressure does not increase, the valve may be sticking or leaking, or the head gasket may be blown.
Connect 4 fuel injector connectors, install 4 spark plugs.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm.
Install 4 ignition coils
Install the cylinder bank head cover No. 2.
