- in this system, the remote control receiver recognizes the code and sends a lock/unlock signal to the body ECU, and the body ECU controls the lock actuators;
- the new model uses a remote control with two buttons to lock and unlock all doors.

The system has a switch on the outside handle of the tailgate for electrically unlocking the tailgate.
On a new car, there is no lock cylinder in the rear door. Instead, an emergency handle is provided that can be used if the system is disabled due to a dead battery or malfunction.
The system is controlled by the body ECU.
The system operates when all of the following conditions are met:
Working conditions:
Pic. 1.74. Working conditions
Tailgate control is enabled under the following conditions:
- tailgate open switch is in position «On». («ON»);
- vehicle speed is less than 5 km/h.
The condition under which the tailgate is allowed to open.
For the system to allow the tailgate to open, one of conditions a, b and c must be met after one of conditions A, B, C and D.
(The lock/unlock commands described below are equivalent to the lock motor commands.)
a) Unlock command via remote control, switch or driver's side door key.
b) Command to unlock the double lock system.
c) Unlocking command from the control unit, the signal comes from the door lock, remote control or double locking system.
A) Lock command via remote control, switch or driver's side door key.
B) Forced locking on command of the anti-theft system.
C) Command to lock the double lock system.
D) Unlocking command from the control unit, the signal comes from the door lock, remote control or double locking system.
Shutdown conditions:
If any of the following conditions are met during rear door power operation, power operation will stop.
(1) Motor rotation delay for more than 0.8 s.
(The motor is off until the tailgate open switch is moved to the «Off». («OFF»).)
(2) The tailgate open switch is in position «Off». («OFF»).
Working condition (or off) remains until the voltage of the battery drops below the voltage of the RAM memory.
