Fuel supply

The fuel supply system includes a fuel tank, hoses and pipelines, injection pump, nozzles and a fuel filter. The fuel tank is located in the area of the rear suspension, the amount of fuel contained in the tank is shown to the driver on the front panel by a special indicator. Through a special system, the fuel tank is connected to the atmosphere. When the fuel in the tank runs out, the air from the power system is released through the fuel filter.

Attention: To check fuel supply to the injectors in case of difficulties in starting, unscrew the union nuts of these injectors and start the engine without preheat until fuel appears at the union nuts. Tighten the nuts and start the engine according to the instructions.

Attention: If there is no fuel supply, then it is necessary to bleed air from the system as follows:

• Fill injection pump with diesel fuel.
• Fill the fuel filter with diesel fuel.
• Tow the car some distance away.

This way you can quickly bleed the air out of the system.

When working on the fuel supply system, comply with cleanliness requirements.

In addition, care must be taken to ensure that diesel fuel does not get on the coolant hoses. At hit of fuel the hose needs to be washed out immediately. Hoses that are mechanically damaged must be replaced.
