Normal startup process (with a cold engine)
1. Manual transmission: set to neutral (idling) and keep the clutch pedal depressed until the engine starts. Automatic transmission: move selector lever to position «R» or «N» (recommended «R»).
2. Fully pull out the choke button and if the ambient temperature is low or the vehicle has not been driven for several days, depress the pedal once or twice «gas» and let her go.
3. Turning the ignition key to position «START», start the starter without pressing the pedal «gas». Release the ignition key when the engine starts. Do not keep the starter running continuously for more than 15 seconds. If the engine stalls, correctly repeat the above process.
4. After starting the engine, push the choke lever in until the engine is still running stably.
5. After the engine has been running for about 10 seconds, you can start driving. Remember that a cold engine must not be operated at high speeds. After the engine has reached operating temperature, push the choke button fully in.
6. If the ambient temperature is low, warm up the engine for a couple of minutes before driving. Do not leave the vehicle while the engine is warming up.
With a warm engine
When starting the engine, keep the pedal «gas» about half pressed. Not «download» pedal.
With the engine hot enough, fully depress the pedal «gas» at startup.
If the engine is warm or hot and does not want to start, there may be too much fuel in it
Squeeze out the pedal «gas» and leave in this position for 15-20 seconds.
Start the engine with the pedal depressed «gas». It may be necessary to keep the starter engaged continuously for 20-30 seconds until excess fuel is removed and the engine starts. If the engine does not start, wait a few minutes and repeat the process. Not «download» pedal, keep it pressed down.
