Caution: The noise that accompanies the folding of the belt is normal. If the noise level is too high, the belt must be replaced. Do not use lubricant to eliminate noise. The automatic belt twister must not be disassembled, as this may cause the spring to jump out and cause injury.
Pull out the seat belt and check the webbing for broken fibers. Damage can be caused, for example, by pinching the belt or burning it with a cigarette.
If there are frayed areas, but without breaking the fibers, the belt can not be changed.
If the belt has a hard move, check if it has twists. To do this, 8 if necessary, the lining on the B-pillar can be removed.
If the automatic belt twister does not work, the belt must be replaced.
Clean the belt with soap and water only. Never use solvents or chemical cleaners for this.
