Check the oil level after placing the vehicle on level ground. If the engine was running before, stop it to allow the oil to drain into the oil pan. Pull out the oil dipstick and wipe it with a cloth. Insert the dipstick again, pull it out and determine the oil level using the dipstick. If necessary, add oil to the level of the mark on the dipstick. Be sure to drink the prescribed type of oil, also taking into account the season.
