The tachometer shows the engine speed in thousands of rpm (min–1 - revolutions per minute) (pic. 1.52). Consider the tachometer reading when choosing when to shift gears and to prevent the engine from running too low or too high.
Driving at too high an engine speed will result in increased engine wear and poor fuel economy. Remember that in most cases, the lower the engine speed, the better the fuel economy.
Attention! Do not allow the indicator needle to enter the red zone. This can cause significant engine damage.
