1. If the engine does not start, and the starter rotates the crankshaft, then disconnect the wire from the spark plug of the left cylinder and connect it to a test gap. The arrester must be designed to test the DIS system.
Attention! To check, use the wires from the left cylinder head, since access to the coils of the right cylinders is difficult and disassembly will be required.
2. If a spark is observed, then turn out the candles and check.
3. If there is no spark, or sparking is intermittent, then check battery voltage at each coil, check coils and sensors (see subsection 11.4).
4. Check the signal from the electronic unit on the coils.
5. To do this, open the connector and connect a control LED to the terminal of the connector that is powered by the battery. When the crankshaft rotates, the LED should light up at the moment a signal arrives from the electronic unit.
6. The electronic and processor units are checked in a car service.
