Brake pedal height
1. Stop signal switch; 2. Pusher; 3. Pedal height
1. Check the distance of the pedal from the floor.
2. If adjustment is necessary, disconnect the connector, unscrew the locknut and remove the brake light switch.
3. Loosen the brake booster tappet locknut.
4. Rotate the pusher to adjust the height of the pedal. Tighten locknut.
5. Install the brake light switch and adjust. To do this, unscrew the top nut so that the switch plunger comes into contact with the pedal stop. Tighten the top nut 1 turn and check clearance A. If necessary, set the specified clearance and tighten the lock nut. Connect the connector.
6. Check if the brake lights come on.
7. Check pedal free play (1 - pusher, 2 - pedal free play), i.e. the distance from the position of the fully released pedal to the place where resistance to its movement begins to be felt. If the stroke is not correct, then re-adjust the switch.
8. Check Height (A) depressing the pedal while the engine is running.
9. If the height of the pressed pedal is not correct, then the brakes are faulty (there is a leak).
